Genesis Chapter 36
1. This is the family
lineage 8435 of Esaw, who is Edom 123.
2. Esaw took wives of
K'naan; Adah 5711 the daughter of Eylon 356 the
Chittiy 2850, and
Oholibamah 173 the
daughter of Anah 6034, the daughter of Tsib'on 6649 the
Chiwwiy 2340;
3. and Bos'math 1315 the
daughter of Yish'mael, sister of Nebayoth 5032.
4. Bore Adah to Esaw
Eliyphaz 464, and Bos'math bore R'uel 7467;
5. and Oholibamah bore
Y'ush 3266, and Yalam 3281, and Qorach 7141.
These are the sons of Esaw that were born to him in the land of K'naan.
6. Took Esaw his
wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the beings of his household,
and all his livestock 4735, and all his beasts, and all his
acquisitions 7075, that he gotten 7408 in the land
of K'naan; and walked into the land from before Yaaqob his brother.
7. For were their

these were the sons of Bos'math wife of Esaw.
14. And these are the
sons of Oholiybamah daughter of Anah, daughter of Tsib'on, wife of Esaw. She
bore Y'ush 3266, and Ya'lam 3281, and Qorach 7141.
15. These were the
chieftains 441 of the sons of Esaw. The sons of Eliyphaz,
firstborn of Esaw; chief Teyman, chief Omar, chief Ts'pho chief Q'naz,
16. chief Qorah, chief
Ga'tam, chief Amaleq; these are the chieftains of Eliyphaz in the land of Edom;
these were the grandsons of Adah.
17. And these are the
sons of R'uel son of Esaw; chief Nachath, chief Zerach, chief Shammah, chief
Mizzah; these were chieftains of R'uel in the land of Edom. These were
grandsons of Bos'math wife of Esaw.
18. These are the
grandsons of Oholiybamah wife of Esaw: chief Y'ush, chief Ya'lam, chief Qorach;
these were chieftains of Oholiybamah daughter of Anah, wife of Esaw.
19. These are the sons
of Esaw, and these are his chieftains. He is Edom.
20. These are the sons
of Seiyr 8165 the Choriy 2752, that dwelled in the
land: Lotan 3877, and Shobal 7732, and Tsib'on 6649,
and Anah 6034,
21. and Dishon 1787,
and Etser 687, and Diyshan 1789. These were chieftains of the Choriy, sons of
Seiyr in the land of Edom.
22. And were the sons
of Lotan Choriy 2753 and Heyman 1968; and the
sister of Lotan was Tim'na 8555.
23. And these were the
sons of Shobal 7732; Al'wan 5935, and Manachath 4506,

24. And these were the

4025, chief Iyram 5902. These are the chieftains of Edom, by their habitations
4186, in the land of their possession 272. He Esaw is the forefather of Edom.
Genesis Chapter 37
1. Dwelt Yaaqob in the
land where sojourned 4033 his father, in the land of K'naan.
2. This is the family
lineage 8435 of Yaaqob: Yoseph being seventeen years of
age,was pasturing 7462 with his brothers the flock; and the
lad5288 was with the sons of Bil'hah, and the sons of
Zil'pah, wives of his father; and brought a true report 1681 of
evildoing 7451 to his father.
3. And Yis'rael loved
Yoseph over all his sons, because he was a son of his old age 2208,
and made he for him a tunic 3801 reaching to the palms and
soles 6466.
4. And when saw his
brothers that loved their father him over all his brothers, they hated 8130 him,
and were not able 3201 to speak to him peaceably 7965.
5. And dreamed 2492 Yoseph
a dream 2472, and told it to his brothers, and even 3254 more 5750 they
hated him.
6. Said he to them,
"Hear now this dream that I dreamed:
7. and behold, we were
binding 481 sheaves 485 in the midst 8432 of
the field, and behold, rose up my sheaf, and also stood upright 5324;
and behold, surrounded 5437 it your sheaves and bowed
low 7812 to my sheaf."
8. And said to him his
brothers, "Shall you indeed reign 4427/4427 over
us?" Or indeed have dominion 4910/4910 over
us"? And even more they hated him over his dreams, and over his words.
9. And he dreamed
another 5750 dream afterward 312, and told it to
his brothers, saying, "Behold, I dreamed a dream again, and behold, the
sun8121 and the moon 3394 and eleven stars 3556 bowed
low to me."
10. And he told it to
his father, and to his brothers; and rebuked 1605 him his
father, saying to him, "What is this
dream that you have dreamed? Shall indeed come 935/935 I
and your mother and your brothers and bow low to you to the ground?"
11. And envied 7065 him
his brothers, but his father retained 8104 his words.
12. And went his
brothers to feed the sheep of their father in Sh'chem.
13. And said Yis'rael
to Yoseph, "Do not your brothers feed in Sh'chem? Walk, and I shall send
you to them." And he said, "Behold me."
14. And he said to
him, "Walk now, and see if it is well 7965 with
your brothers, and it is well with the sheep, and return with word to me."
And he sent him forth from the valley 6010 of Cheb'ron. And he
came to Sh'chemah 7927.
15. Found him a man,
and beheld him wandering 8582 in the field; and asked 7592 him
the man, saying, "What seek 1245 you?"
16. And said he,
"My brothers I seek. Tell me please where 375 they are
feeding?"
17. And said the man,
"They left 5265 from here; for I heard them say, 'Let us walk to
Dothay'nah 1886.'"
And walked Yoseph after his brothers, and found them in Dothan 1886.
18. And they saw him
from afar 7350, and before 2962 he came near 7126 to
them, conspired 5230 they against him to kill 4191 him.
19. And said one man
to his brother, Behold, this master 1167 of dreams comes!
20. Now come, and we
will slay him, and cast 7993 him in a pit 953, and
we will say, 'An evil living creature has eaten him': and we will see what
becomes of his dreams!"
21. And heard R'uben,
and delivered 5337 him from their hands; and said, "Do
not smite 5221 his life 5315."
22. And said to them
R'uben, "Do not 408 spill 8210 blood 1818,
but cast 7993 him into 413 the
pit 953 that
is in the wilderness, and your hand 3027 do not send
forth 7971 upon him." (so that he might deliver him
from their hands, and return him to their father).
23. And it was, when
Yoseph had come to his brothers, they had stripped 6584 of his
tunic that reached palms and soles that was upon him;
24. And they took him,
and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty 7386, with no water
in it.
25. And they sat
down to eat bread, and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and beheld a
caravan 736 of Yish'm'eliym 3459 that came
from Gil'ad with their camels bearing spices 5219, balm 6875,
and myrrh 3910, walking to go down into Mits'ray'mah 4714.
26. Said Yahudah to
his brothers, "What gain 1215 if we slay our brother, and
cover 3680 his blood?
27. Come, and let us
sell 4376 him to theYish'm'eliym, and our hands not be upon
him; for he is our brother and our flesh 1320." And they
listened to their brother.
28. And there passed
by men of Mid'yaniym 4084, traveling merchants 5503,
and they removed 4900 and lifted up Yoseph from the pit. And
they sold 4376 Yoseph to the Yish'm'eliym for twenty pieces of
silver: and came Yoseph into Mits'ray'mah.
29. And returned
R'uben to the pit, and behold, was not 369 Yoseph in the pit,
and he rent 7167 his clothes.
30. And returned he to
his brothers and said, "The lad is not there, and I575, where
shall I 589 go 935?"
31. And they took the
tunic 3801 of Yoseph, and slaughtered 7819 a
buck 8163 of the goats 5795, and dipped 2881 the
tunic in the blood;
32. And sent they the
tunic reaching palms and soles, and came to their father, and said, "This
we found: scrutinize 5234 now the tunic, of your son is it or
not?"
33. And he
scrutinized, and said, "The tunic is my son's; an evil
7451 living creature 2416 has devoured him: certainly
pulled in pieces 2963/2963is Yoseph!"
34. And rent 7167 Yaaqob
his clothes 8071, and put sackcloth 8482 on his
loins 4975, and mourned 56 over his son many 7227 days 3117.
35. And rose up all
his sons and all his daughters to comfort 5162 him, but he
refused 3985 to be comforted, saying, "For I will go down
to my son mourning to Sh'olah 7585." And wept 1058 his
father.
36. And the M'daniym 4084 sold 4376 him
to Mits'rayim to Potiyphar 6318, an officer 5631 of
Par'oh, captain 8269 of of the bodyguard 2876.
